Service Learning engages you in community volunteer and service activities using teaching and reflection to nurture a desire to positively impact the lives of others, to build on corporate social responsibility programs, encourage community-mindedness and empathy.
Assessment & Reflection
We ask you to reflect and make meaning from your experiences, and action plan. What did you learn? How did it change you? What are you going to do now? Completion of assessment tasks will enable the award of a statement of attainment in your management and leadership diploma.
Leadership is a personal journey resulting in the skills that students need to positively and ethically influence and mobilise others in life and in the workplace. We equip students with knowledge and skills to affect individuals, teams, organisations, and their broader community.
20 hours of beginner Bahasa Indonesia study will have you communicating with the locals quickly. The program follows a theme-based syllabus with tasks designed to encourage you to use your newly-acquired language in real-life and work-related communication.
Wellness & Mindfulness
We integrate the physical, spiritual, environmental, emotional, intellectual, and social/interpersonal well-being of participants to help them live, learn, and work effectively. It includes self awareness, humility, independence, sense of wonderment and openness to new ideas and experiences.
Linley is an experienced training developer, facilitator and coach with over 20 years experience in Australian Government Departments, including Defence and Environment, as well as in international organisations including the United Nations and the Philippine Defence Force.
Linley is a highly skilled and experienced facilitator of a number of performance management programs; covering negotiation & communication skills and conflict management programs in both the domestic and international arena. She has designed and delivered learning and development programs, including ‘train the trainer’ programs for a range of clients, focusing on the areas of leadership development, coaching, negotiation, mediation, conflict resolution, and relationship management.
In this capacity, Linley has worked with the United Nations in developing and delivering training for the United Nations Military Observers and Police, to equip them with the ability to negotiate in a peace operations environment. She has also facilitated similar training in the Philippine Defence Force for both military and civilian personnel.
Linley is an experienced conflict coach, and an ESCI 360° administrator and performance coach, and lead coach for training mediators. In these programs, she works on a ‘one on one’ basis with her clients to develop or enhance their skills, knowledge and competency as practitioners and leaders to effectively engage in and manage interpersonal conflict.
Linley has been a visiting fellow with the Centre for Defence Leadership & Ethics, Australian Defence College.
